Limited edition pieces from twelve of the UK 's most exciting artists for....
the most expensive debut single ever
Canadian musician The Thurston Revival has recently caused a stir in the music world by selling a limited run of his debut single at £100 per record.
When albums are being given away by newspapers and with an endless downward pressure on album prices, this project sends a message to consumers and the music industry alike - to realise the true artistic and fiscal value of music.
100 high-quality 12” vinyl recordings, all beautifully packaged, numbered and signed will have very special cover art designed by ten of the UK 's most exciting artists.
The Thurston Revival's label, Victorious Kiam Records, commissioned 12 acclaimed British artists to design a sleeve each inspired by the song ' Somewhere There's An Angel'.
Only ten prints of each design are in existence, making them highly collectable pieces from a new wave of UK talent. You can view the images here: http://www.victoriouskiam.com
The artwork will be exhibited for one night only at a special invite-only event in Sartorial Contemporary Art Gallery on the August 28 from 5 to 9pm, at 101A Kensington Church Street, London W8 7LN.
Before then, we are inviting friends of the gallery to pre-order these strictly limited artworks.
