Up Close And Personal features both old and new work. Some of the paintings are incredibly positive and contain a great deal of humour and warmth. Two of the artists in the show chose to contribute examples of portraits they did of their parents ? it's possible that some viewers will find these works disturbing simply because they contain so much honesty. Sartorial's aim is to put on a show that will always stay with you. We believe the paintings in this exhibition will move you and make you think again about what it's possible to achieve with paint.

Royal College graduate Lee Maelzer has been nominated for the John Moores award and was awarded the Abbey Fellowship at the British School at Rome . She has had two successful solo shows in London and her work has featured in exhibitions in Holland , Switzerland , Germany and the U.S.
