The work opens out into an imaginary space accessed through the mundane. The sites are areas which are already unfolding, falling apart. They are places which have lost their use, their purpose has become derelict. But within these un-peopled sites the paintings attempt to reveal the possibility of the miraculous. The possibility of revelation announced through the ordinary. Thus the work is imbued with a sense of quiet anticipation with imaginary possibilities implied but never realised.
